I recently had an amazing stay at a hotel nestled in the mountains above a charming historic town. The hotel's location was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the mountains right from my room. The rooms themselves were simple yet stylish, and I particularly loved the balcony where I could soak in the beauty of the surroundings. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Another highlight was the delicious breakfast buffet, offering a variety of fresh and tasty options. I was impressed by the value for money and the attention to detail at this hotel.
All was perfect, couldn't have asked for more.

Schorta's Alvetern is a small, family-run hotel in the picturesque village of Ardez in the Lower Engadine Valley. Although its guests come primarily from Switzerland, the owner speaks fluent English and, being a native, knows the area intimately and can offer expert advice on train schedules, local gourmet dishes, guided tours, etc. The hotel is renovated and updated frequently and offers many modern amenities including free internet and a restaurant featuring specialties from the region. Its clean, modern design includes guest rooms with private terraces with mountain views, as well as a library, and a cafe and panoramic roof terrace which are both popular with locals.

I recently had a very good stay at a hotel in the mountains above Ardez. The rooms had a simple but stylish design, and my room even had a balcony with a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff were friendly and provided great service. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with fresh fruit and a good selection of teas.
All was well during my stay.

Nice personnel, great food, charming little village, free internet, sunny rooftop, and nice views.
Room was a bit small, especially since we travelled with two small children. Otherwise perfect.

The restaurant is good, the breakfast, free tea, lunch is included.....friendly staff, comfortable lounge restaurant.
The room was very small, too warm and the bathroom really tiny and old. The beds were not very comfortable. It was a c-type, did not know there was a difference. Next time i will pay more to have amore comfortable room for sure!

Convenient Location, Wonderful Hospitality, Great Food We recently visited a hotel for our city break and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent experience we had. the hotel is conveniently located near the mountains and provides easy access to hiking and biking trails. the hospitality of the staff was outstanding and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. We especially enjoyed the delicious food that was served at the hotel restaurant. We also appreciated the free Wi-Fi and the comfortable bed provided in the room.
Though the room was clean and offered a comfortable bed, there wasn't much space to move around.

The staff was friendly and always ready to help us with any needs we had during our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who can easily access many hiking and biking trails nearby. We also loved the delicious local fare served in the cozy bistro and the breathtaking views from our room's terrace.
Our room only had one electrical plug that could be used for charging our electronic devices, and some of the furniture was outdated. the lack of an elevator made it difficult to carry our luggage up the large staircases.
